This is a pocket review of a couple of different packs of pens from the TikTok shop. First, of course, is the Afternoon Tea set to be closely followed by the Linear Color Pen Set.
The Afternoon Tea set is a good quality pack of eight lightweight soft touch pens loaded with black gel ink and 0.5mm nibs. Each pen is a different shade of brown and each clip is named after a drink e.g. Mocha and the barrel is branded with an Afternoon Tea logos.
The pens are very comfortable to hold and to write with and put down a nice even line of ink.
However, the one downside, a bit like a Sharpie, is that the ink does bleed through making the reverse side of the page unusable, I tested it using Muji paper and a couple of random notepads and got the same results; so, whilst these are good pens my advice is choose carefully what you write on.
Moving on to the Linear Color Pen Set. The first thing to note is that they are not pens in the conventional sense they would be better considered as a decorative device.
Instead of a nib they have a wheel that lays down a different decorative pattern for each pen. To get the best results I found the wheel worked best at an angle; approximately at forty-five degrees to the page, and once you get the hang of it the results are quite nice.
I would recommend these pens for anyone with an interest in crafts as they can add a touch of something different and for the minimal cost, they are worth dropping a few pennies to see if they are useful.
