Hogwarts Castle

This week I thought I would look at something frivolous, the Running Press light up model of Hogwarts Castle.

The first thing you need to know is this is described as a ‘Deluxe Mega Kit’ which comes with a sticker book; it’s a 4 x 3-inch model so I think Running Press are overselling it a bit by using the word ‘Mega’.

Nevertheless, it is a fun little kit and it’s nice to have on your desk or bookshelf. I think it’s RRP is a bit high, but Amazon often have it below the RRP so if you want one it’s worth checking Amazon regularly.

It comes well packaged and is easy to assemble, basically, all you have to do is add the tops of the two main towers and you are done; and sitting on your desk will be a small, but surprisingly detailed, bronze coloured model of Hogwarts Castle that really does light up; I’ve tweaked the main picture a little bit to give you an idea of what it looks like when it lights up.

So what follows is my pictorial guide to assembling your own model of Hogwarts Castle.

One last thing, yes, it’s worth your pennies, mine sits on my desk and every time I look at it it makes me smile.

Disclaimer: The Castle was purchased with my own funds at retail price. The opinions expressed in this review are my own; and I am not connected with either the retailers or manufacturers in any way.
