Ink Of The Month – October

October is home to two great celebrations; Halloween and the Hindu Festival of Diwali.

Whilst Halloween has its darker side it has become an increasingly festive occasion when children collect sweets with consequence laden phrase ‘Trick or Treat’ and pumpkins are carved and lit to ward off evil spirits.

Whilst Diwali is the Festival of Light dedicated to Lakshmi – the goddess of wealth and prosperity and is one of the happiest festivals of the year.

So because both celebrations are bright and colourful I have chosen Diamine Orange as my ‘Ink Of The Month’ for October. It’s a warm bright orange ink that, I think, suits a festival of light and all the pumpkins for Halloween.
